Yea, i need something to do thats not boring enough to cast me into sleep... and i thought of this... well been awhile since i last wrote anyway... lol

So, whats up? Well, world cup finished, not exactly the way i wished it be, all due to the fact that overall i lost some money, but i guess thats life, u gain some u lose some... although im not sure if i gained anything... Cos nothing interesting happened after the first week of temp job... which is quite sad, but well, im used to this rotten luck anyway...

Internship started, and off goes Andrew and Christopher to China for their work and study programme, -1 Mahjong kaki ... and our poker chips are in Andrew's house... damn... We gotta need some activities in the weekend to occupy ourselves! so at least i dont think too much...

New semester, new acadamic year... New wallet and phone for me... need a new something else... Anyway, got myself the Samsung Galaxy S that was under wishlist... Andriod 2.1 Eclairs, not all that intuitive, hopefully something refreshing when froyo update comes out later this year... The super amoled screen awed me, so did its HD video recording capabilities... processing power and graphics was orgasmic, its churning 3d games like a PSP with very decent graphics and in very playable fps... IDK about 3G data reception is it supposed to be so unstable, or is it just me... and my chinese song titles dont display properly on the music player.. crap.. but thats the only complains i have thus far, other than unlucky me dropping it on the first day, fk...

Ok, just to vent my frustration by a little, what the f*** is wrong with this year's world cup man... Disappointments falling like raindrops... strongholds getting trashed, totally unexpectedly... Yea, its with Argentina crashing into a 0 4 defeat against Germany in the quarters... and of course on top of Brazil getting wiped off by Netherlands the day before... Mixed feeling, on whether i should be sad or angry that they are putting up such a weak performance, kinda disappointed, the footballer of the year Lionel Messi exited this world cup without any goals as Argentina failed today, similarly for Gonzalo Higuain who scored a hattrick against S.Korea who couldnt really pull off nice plays today... And so did Carlos Tevez, well Di Maria did had a clean shot at some point but it went wide... And of course Sergio Romero, well maybe he tried his best but i'd really say, wtf is he doing... man, he has to have more focus i guess, he's always a tad slow in reacting... So much for my faith in the Argentineans to be able to lift the World Cup for the 3rd time this year, it fell with a thud... pilling up my frustration level that i had to whine for abit... Maybe partially due to the fact that i lost some bets due to that... but crap, all the favorite teams on my support list kinda crash landed unexpectedly somehow, so what is there left for me to watch...?

So, i've been told by someone, that i have a confident look, of myself being smart and all... A nice way to put it... In another words, kinda like i have this 'Don't bug me, idiot...' look or the 'Touch me, and you're dead...' look to strangers, which i very much agree to...

I dont know if its just me, but when i am not talking, thoughts and matters actually still run through my mind at lightspeed, which is what makes me appear to be staring at space, or giving a death stare and turning away without paying much additional attention... less when i see people i know, it kinda sends a signal to short-circuit those deep thoughts, so i give a smile or wave or some kinda gesture...

I guess i should really find some way to curb myself of all these deep thoughts so i don't appear so unapproachable... Its not like these thoughts would spur life changing inventions or such, i guess...

So much for the impression i give, now to comment on impressions others gave me...

I have to say this, i just hate people who talk like they know everything, or rather tries to let people know that they know everything while assuming the others don't know a thing... Being humble is a virtue, i sure hope i don't give others an impression which i myself hates... which i reckon i won't... Cause in the end, i still tend to keep everything within myself, locked away, in solitude...

As much as i love to whine about life, still, i have heaps of thoughts running ever through my mind which couldnt really be expressed much by words...

So, whats with the title...

I've always think of myself as, kinda fair in various aspects..

like fairly smart, but aint anywhere near a genius...

im in shape and fit, but i aint fit enough to net gold awards in fitness...

am doing quite well in sch, not well enough to shine...

clearly presentable, tho nowhere attractive enough to be called very handsome...

hardworking, but only periodically when theres a need...

etc... etc...

So what good is it, if you are nowhere here nor there in everything, without some unique attribute... What and how long does it take, for you to have what you want to have, be with who you want to be, do what you want to do, and do it when u want to, to get out of this irritating eternal rat race, with you being a Jack...

As much as i believe in my usual saying, 人定胜天.... and only believing in the science behind everything, which much of, if not all are discovered by man(humans..) , life itself seems to strongly disprove of my thinking, being glad to show me, that science is not everything, that 'definite' is a crap word, and 1 + 1 doesnt always ends up with the same answer, when applied to different cases...

Well, thats with regards to the things i've stumbled upon since i got into my new temp workplace for my part-time job this holiday... So.. Wassup? Right, initial training and assessment for the job was nothing much to speak of, it was only until the day i was scheduled for on-job training, that something(someone) came popping out and totally changed my initial percept of this job as a boring-but-just-do-for-extra-pocket-money-job ...

So, what(who) ..?

Well, people who know me well enough, would generally know i have dumb luck (maybe just in games...but... well idk..) who would've though somehow, because of some technical issues with systems in the office that day, i got assigned another lass as my OJT(on-job training) buddy...

Ahhh, so its her...?

Kinda like, no ... that was just to explain how I, who was supposed to be sitting in the first row of computers as an OJT trainee, got pushed to another girl in the last row... Which is where i came across someone, who really caught my attention...

Ok, so is this it, or do I have more to say...?

Yea, no doubt, this is the someone I'm gonna talk about for the rest of the parts... Well, not like i was looking throughout my OJT session, in fact i was shifted to the front after awhile, so just a glance or 2... but she was cute enough to catch my attention...

Ohh, so what did i do...?

Hmm, finished my OJT and got myself marked as ready to do my job alone, and headed home... Yea i didn't do anything.. Why else would i be deeming fate as a funny thing in my title if its me that has done something on my own accord... Duh...

Ok, yearning for more...

That was just the prelude, the story is just starting... So, nothing much happened for the next week, been on another job at PC show 2010, until the week after, i was scheduled a monday morning shift.. crap...

Reluctant and lethargic to go for work that morning after a tiring last day at PC show, i dragged myself to office... Well, if you have followed through and still remember the title, you would've guessed right, i saw her. Not that the chances are once in a million, but i'd consider it cool for her being 1 of the 20odd people scheduled to be at main branch out of a pool of over 300, to be on 1 of 3 shifts with which i was also scheduled(Yea work your brain, do the math~!) This time we're on the same row, so i was able to steal glances every now and then...

Now, I'd reckon you made some move...

Remember the title... And yes i didn't do anything... not like there were much chances to strike a conversation or sort. Sure enough shift ends at the same time, but she kinda vanished before i even left my seat, i guess thats normal, everyone wants to go home (rather, get out of the office) fast. Well thats the end of day 1 of work... Comes day 2...

Hates... was raining when i reached Dhoby MRT, had to go through the rain, good thing i had my jacket in the bag, so i kinda shielded myself from the rain with it... through to the bend into shelter under SOTA (School of the Arts) someone came dashing across, half drenched that is... Hmm, i would've offered a shelter for the remaining uncovered path to POMO if i had an umbrella, but a jacket? Nah, thats just lame... Now i forgot, did i mention who that was? If i didn't, well follow the title... k? And so to lift lobby with a buncha other ppl, on the same lift up to office... Thats about all for day 2...

What? That suck, and you haven't did anything?

Precisely, I'm rather in passive all these while... But well, not the point... Comes day 3, raining in morning as usual, too heavy so i had to bring an umbrella... kinda reached office on the dot, so everyone was already seated in their assigned seat... So i walked over to sign my timesheet and see where i was assigned to... What else, first row as usual, just different people beside me. Who? Title explains it all... I was like, woa, how is it i get assigned to seat right in between a girl whom i had a crush on and another of her friend.. this is a joke...

Well, that aside, so as usual girls loves to chat and gossip, and what else could i do but to get influenced and join the chattering after awhile, with which we were complained to be chatting too loudly for a couple of times by the supervisor throughout the day... Our break time was the same, not knowing where the nice food are i kinda tagged along the 2 of them for lunch. Work as usual, chat as usual, after lunch... and the day ended as usual.. Got their names so i tried adding them in facebook...

... And?

Later that night i received a call, asking me to report at 10am rather than 8am as usual as they will be assigning me to another dept to help out in some other matters. That was totally uncool, but what could i say but to agree...

Lol, and i thought there was more...

Yea, that was kinda right, i didn't said that was the end of the story... So its 10am, and i was asked to reach 0950 so they could bring me to the new place... 0945 coming out of Dhoby MRT, up the escalator, right there i saw someone whom appears familiar from behind... Well, you know who! (If you dont, read the title again...) So i asked how is she there at like 0945, apparently, she got the call to reach at 10am also.. And she was saying its a relax job and there are 3 of us doing it... Err... Ok, now what are the odds..? And then for the day there we are at the pantry doing outgoing calls...

Sure i can go on to talk about how much of a coincidence things happened which somehow i got to know about what she told her friend about what she thought about me... But im tired... its a long post...

Not that i planned all these, but its happening... very much the way i wanted it.. thats creepy...

Been so lazy to get on here for over 2 months, partially being occupied by the development of the game linked below, in reality more like spending too much time on a stupid MMO which i had been playing, thankfully i quitted...

Now what, days without games are gonna get really boring, but well, i've made up my mind and im gonna get myself a music keyboard and pick up piano, by myself... With various kinds of help online of course...

Exams are like in 2 days for me, and what not, this time round, i've been spending almost the whole semester playing the dumb MMO, only to realize it being dumb to start mugging a week before... hopefully i can still make some A's with all these last minute efforts... Its good to not aim too high, so the results wont be disappointing, somewhat like me setting targets just to keep my GPA there previously, and im gona do the same... Say

Well, been thinking if i should post this but i guess i'll just do it..

Anyway, so wads fate..? Fate, calls for an enactment to happen no matter how minute the chance might be perceived.. And that sometimes, is really screwed up.. As it once again, placed the out-of-reach locked candy box right beside me...

So, there's this 'lovely lady' in accounting class, whom i've always talked about to my friends, well but she seems to be quite repulsive to me.. Hmm.? Maybe shes in a relation and it occurred to her that i have ulterior motives, but hey, i just wanna make friends, is that so difficult..? -.- well im not mentioning names...
Whilst in the midst of mugging for our ever so feared of exams, we would always have random thoughts running about and comments being made, and just so there's this 1 i passed, that i would be so motivated, and definite on getting an 'S' for Accounting ('S' is for satisfactory if you have opted for that module to be S/U) if this girl is sat next to me in the exams (Owing to the fact that her name begins with 'S' ...). Well, it was random, and that sentence held no expectations...

And 25 NOV(Lol, thx for the correction ar chunhuat) 2009, this day has come, that i need to battle and conquer the fearful MB101 exam, strolling into the exam hall looking for my seat, 0286, it wasn't long before i find it... And yes, despite the odds of few hundreds of examinees, there she was, right beside my seat... If this is fate telling me, 'Congratulations, u are going to pass your exams and get an 'S'.', i thank it...
But no, i choose to think otherwise, it is fate, ever so cruel, that again set the elusive locked candy box right next to me within reach, tormenting me knowing i'm craving and don't have the key...

Ok, am in AMK library mugging now, and qing yan just signed up for his new mobile plan with a new phone costing $29 after trade in at some singtel authorized dealer here in AMK... Just as he was spending like close to 45mins of our time deciding which phone to get, and finally made up his mind, the staff serving was kinda like not sure of the procedures, and could only keep smiling to us, waiting for her other collegue to come back from smoking to get it done... So i casually passed a remark that she is so cute, and MIND YOU, u will agree... (well, applies to a certain extend on the looks anyway..)

Ok so finally, the guy came back from his smoke break, and had the stuff done and we're off... So like we're 10 steps out of the shop, our mr qing yan realised he hadnt collect back his IC/Matric card... so he went back to get them... ok, hiccup 1, how cute, they dont return the cards after they're done with the scanning, verifying etc... Ok, then we're back in library and after awhile, qy decided to switch to his new SIM card, and immediately theres a call, guess what..? its from the handphone shop... And did i mention about any payment just now..? no... yea, we got the phone out and happily went back to take the IC/Matric card and out again, without them realising that WE HAVEN PAY... how cute... lol
So our paranoid qy ran back to the shop at once... and minutes later, i saw this wallet on the window grill... i was like, ok... who's is that... lol... we have people selling handphones without collecting money, and we have people paying for handphone without bringing his wallet... thats something new...

Yea like right, its more than a month already anyway... haha...

So like, happenings? well, Comex 2009, all too rush, didnt have time to take a photo, but i bought a laptop cooler, coolermaster notepal x2, well it looks cool, but didnt really help much =\

Recess week? Hmm, CIDP.. zzz, been obligated to be in school to develop our web-based system for 1 of the module for the whole of our recess week, yea so nth much, other than a long-parted visit to Sakae sushi again, at 5pm for buffet lunch when last order is 5:30 ... lol

Been having the emo rush to me all over again, thinking how i can change myself, in a way that i actually wont hate myself for not making things happen... As always, in the most subtle and abstract way i would draft my entry, as i can never find a way for me to let out everything in my heart.

Everything thats happening these months drives me thinking, what is it that i really want..? Is it really just a simple life i mentioned..? If so, why am i feeling the stress in everything i do...

1st day of the sem...?

Well, yesterday was the first day of the new semester, and with same old routine, i woke up early for the 1½hr journey to campus, for, a 50min introductory lecture, and thats all... omg... crap... And it being the first day for add-drop, everyone wanted to go home to camp the com, but under some influence, we all decided to go singing at the new Safra Jurong Kbox, lol.. checked in abt 1:50 and sang tru till 7..

Well, the place is nice and new, at least u dont see holes in the couches like some Kbox which i went... lol

The new song dedicating system is cool, its a touch screen panel at the side and u can actually play games with it, theres also function to applause, jeer, whistle, etc etc, song searching by title can be done with handwriting function in english, chinese, jap and korean~! And theres also this small control panel behind the couches to skip songs, mute, switch analog/digital etc like in TopOne. But the only thing bad is that the controller took a change, and its really hard to use now... lol

Ooo and most importantly, u can record your singing and send it to your phone/laptops via bluetooth~ :O

So, i tried and record mi singing 洋葱, but it ended up aint very good, the music volume was too low, but i'll try and put it up here anyway xD

Well, haven been writing anything here for like the past mth, and its like only 6 days till the new semester starts.. Actually its good, been really rotting these past mths with only 1 involvement in PC show during june..

So like wad has happened these past mths, well, too lazy to list like the singing/pool/supper sessions, but ya they're just abundant.. zzz...

Bleached my hair wif some bleach recommended by jia qing, in anticipation for the ash gray dye by gatsby, which didnt really turn out as expected, so its now kinda like a ash gold tone, phail..zzz..

Am playing a new MMO called Jade Dynasty, well the graphics is good, but most importantly, theres a built in legal bot, how cool, now i dont really have to 'play' the game.. lol..

Going back to watch anime again cos 3 months without anything to do is really shitty... But waiting for the anime to release every week is equally shitty.. -.-

Ahhhh~ Guess on starting this new sem, im just gona try and be indifferent for anything else other than my grades... or at least try to...

PC Show 2009 @ Belkin

Ok, haven got the time to post about this previously, or should i say i haven got the photos from Alice thus its only coming in now. Anyway, ya enough talk, still as usual promoting for belkin this PC Show, same reseller and distributor as previous show, Chamoxa n C2o. This time round, our booth is quite big and the design is actually better, all our shelves and showcases surrounded our store and cashier, which makes a good utilization of space and customers wont have to walk INTO the booth to view our products. But this time round, we are lacking some products on the catalogue which apparently went out of stock, which had some adverse effects on our sales, but none the less we did made quite a good sales through the 4 days of hard, mouth drying, work... lol...

Go Ubin get cooked..

Well, went to Pulau Ubin yesterday for cycling as jioed by some coursemates, and it was a bad mistake... -.-

Was a damn sunny, hot day, and we start our cycling at around 1pm, we got our bicycles from the 1st booth we saw at $10 each for the whole day until 6pm, with the auntie claiming those are somewhat 'new' bikes... which we later encountered numerous problems with.. Anyway, we headed for ... i dunno wads the name but its a wooden tower thats abt 5-6 storey high...

Next we went on to chek jawa to see the nature reserve and get a drink from the vending machine, for our tough part later... We went through the mountain biking trail which is like omfgwtfbbq... anyway, its only aa, andrew, chris and me that went for the trail, up and down the bumpy terrain and bashing through the greens, up steep slopes to the point that we had to come down and push our bikes.. to arrive at a check point where the view is unobstructed.

But of course we're so shag that we had to rest there for like 10min b4 going for another tough trail back down, which andrew nearly got injured..

We ended the day all shagged and cooked, skin peeling now cos of sunburn.. -.-

Retarded LRT guy

Ok, whats the story now...

This afternoon, i met andrew at Compass point for lunch then head over to his hse for MJ, so after lunch, we bought a bubble tea each, and headed for the LRT to his house... So im happily sipping my bubble tea while entering the gantry, up the escalator, and onto the platform... waiting for the LRT to come... And NOTHING happened, and NOBODY stopped me, and suddenly 1 transit staff came up to me straight, and told me 'Sir, you are not supposed to drink in the LRT station, can i have your EZ-Link card pls' ... I was like, huh..? well, duh? den he asked me to follow him to the control center, which he then wrote me a notification of offence ... ok, like, wtf? So, were there staff at the gantry warning ppl they are not supposed to eat n drink in the station? Were there ppl who stopped commuters entering with food and drinks? Like, NO? So, you get retards to come issue you notices without warning u anything beforehand, how cool... Dumb Sengkang LRT and dumb transit staff, who apparently is a customer service officer; sarcasm, how did he even passed customer service tests with such retarded behavior...

Well i've gt no mood to talk abt the MJ, after such a dumb retarded incident...

Boredom Kills

Ok, now, what can i be doing other than playing DOTA, occasion MJ, K session, etc..? Well i haven started on my IPPT training but im getting on it as soon as im well from my flu... yea been down wif a short flu for the past 2 days, and theres nothing i can do xcept for staying at home and DOTAing wif friends...

Met a prudential financial advisor which i thought was taking care of my plan, but turned out to be another person, so she got me to get a plan to overwrite my aviva insurance which was bought in army; for an additional $3 a mth for some other better coverage... duh...

Still no job lobangs, other than the 1 that called me and asked me to go for an interview that i missed cos i didnt receive the email and i accidentally erased the number cos i upgraded my phone's firmware... Passing days trying hard to occupy myself, in one way waiting and looking forward to the day the results are released, well in actual trying to take her off my mind for every second that im awake... Cause, no, looking at your pics wouldnt help, instead it makes it worse... So, pls dun come around telling me i can see your pic when i tell u i miss you ... =\

csc201 , well if nothing goes wrong, will be expecting this to be an A

csc202 - Well this 1 is tough, altho being the last paper thus having the most time to revise, would be content with a B+

csc203 - No excuse for this, An A is a MUST!

csc204 - Will be happy as long as this comes out better than 103 last sem, so a B would be very nice.. haha

hw210 - Well, if nothing goes really wrong in the report n presentation, B+

ee8086 - Same case, no excuse for this, A is a MUST

Expectations vs results...

Well, this sem is seriously bad in terms of what i aim for and what i get... it aint working out, well distractions maybe, but i seriously have no mood to mug this sem...

Which makes me wonder, why are we in this stressing rat-race to compete on everything we do, is it the fact that we are all brought up this way resulting in me being so particular about winning...? Well, went to Changi Airport T2 Sakae Sushi(Not again... ) yesterday night (5 hours ago..) for a birthday celebration for a secondary school mate, and it was a torture -.-

First of, the food took real long to come, having us spamming the control of all kinds of sushi, only 1 or 2 plate came every time... And the ironic thing is, they told us alot of our orders were out of stock, but towards the closing time, everything came.... even more than what we have ordered.... Hand-rolls came counting up to twenties; when we were sure we didnt even ordered over 10 in total ... And a couple of other orders were duplicated and only came towards the end, when we actually ordered it right when we came in ...

End of the day, i guess i probably ate 1 x maguro sashimi, 1 x tai sashimi, 4 x various hand-rolls (Unagi, soft-shell, salmon), 5 x unagi nigiri (2 per plate, = 10), 2 x Tako Yaki (3 per plate, = 6), 1 x soft-shell crab makimono... i seriously feel like theres a whole Unagi swimming in my stomach now... x_X

Well, had a visit to NTU's Sakae Sushi for tea time buffet last thursday. Was pre-pre-valentine with a group of emo lonely guys... =[ So, other than the futile attempt to finish all the sushi there, expect us to be doing really stupid things... like ...

With the aim of being unique from other blogs that will probably make posts everyday on wadeva they eat, i shall not elaborate on what we have there, afterall its all sushi... but the only thing worth mentioning is the Sazae Yaki, aka Horned Turban in english;

Pre-valentines was ~~nothing~~ spectacular ~~either~~... gave out a couple of roses, but i forgot to snap a peekture of them... or should i say, a peekture of the bouquet i gave to that special someone... =\

Hmm, i did a strikeout on negating pre-valentines to be spectacular bcos something big happened, our dear Mr QingYan gave out his first valentine's rose so far in his life! Right in lecture! Kudos for that... xD

First of all, this NVM is not 'nevermind' ... its National Vertical Marathon... Well why i will join is long story... cos Mr Andrew Tan aka our dear friend is the co-chair for the event, and we were so forced into this... lol

Well, going up the tallest building in SIngapore aint ez, 60 floors to the top, up the Republic Plaza, standing at 280m above sea level, among the 3 tallest buildings in Singapore(tying with OUB and UOB plaza). Trying to rush up the first 10 floors as suggested by fur was a mistake, as we soon found our legs giving way even before reaching 10 ... haha... Well the rest from 10 to 30 was normal pace, and from 30 to 60 is just 2 step by steps at a slow pace... Its quite a big event having participants from all over... in the detail before us, there was a 75 year old uncle o.0 ... Well anyway, we made it to the top within 20 mins i guess...

Credits to Christopher for 'forcing' me into joining the NTU Cyber-athletic Open 2009 in the DotA category... And so, the story began, where a team was formed from 5 totally non-related players... Posche, Zhong Yi, Jit Sin, Chin Sin, n me ... Well this team was kinda like formed because they wanted more teams in the event... And so, team 'Whatever', which haven even played 1 proper game together before as a whole, went on with our preliminary rounds in Game Haven, Clark Quey... Well, 1st match was against some team of China students... 1st time experiencing competitive player drafting, so we took quite awhile to settle down with the ban and pick list... we had QOP, POTM, WD, axe, ES ... not a very formidable draft i would say... and opponent was OM, Zues, DK, WL, SF .... Well, surprisingly our team which haven even played 1 proper game altogether, won the first round hands down... with almost double the K/D ratio... o.0

So well we're supposed to be up against another team in our group of 3... but they kinda like didnt turn up... so we had to fight that same china team again... duh... So, we tot like lets take this easy, in any case if we lose this 2nd round, we just have to keep the K/D ratio good enough such that our total K/D wins, and we are the winner of our group... And so... 2nd game we tot of drafting SA.. and we didnt ban it... but the other team got the pick first... and their first hero, was SA ... -.- that was a mistake ... and the rest of the draft is a mistake ... lol.. with Slardar, Medu, SF, KOTL, Zues ... they had Omni, SA, Puck, Skele, Enig ..... They pulled off quite a number of nice engagements with puck coming in with its coil and enig following with blackhole while SA chop and smoke after the blackhole... n we got kicked really bad ... well but we managed to maintain the K/D at a healthy level for the win tho xD ...

Anyway, prelims aside, the top 4 elim rounds was just total crap... 2 of my planned heroes got banned, and some really shitty thing had to happen to make us really pissed and in turn lost the game ... We were about 15min into the game where we just turned back from a 1 3 K/D to a 4, 4 ... And just about to rape their Visage, and 1 of their com hanged... WTF? And when the saved game was loaded, we were back down to 1, 3 ... and i got raped instead, making it 1, 4 .... how cool... Well, guess thats life... shit happens... jus have to live with it...

EMO ARRR !!!!

Well, not that i missed the 校园演唱会 or wad, the concert was good, so why emo u may ask... i will elaborate later...

So.. about the concert, lets allow some pictures to do the talking first...

Ok~ the concert was great, with 卓文萱 bringing us many of her new songs eg. 爱的城堡，一句话，超级喜欢，独家快乐，一个人勇敢, and a couple of her popular songs previously like 幸福氧气，甜甜圈，消失的彩虹...

Her live singing was great,and she really love acting, cos there was a part when 志勇 asked her to give a reason to persuade the crowd who has yet to buy her album to get em at the concert, she said that nowadays CD sales not as good, and acted to be crying, like in TW dramas... which is quite comical... haha..

And, i dunno... she look... just like how she look in pictures, very pretty =] Can see pretty clearly as we were sitting quite at the front.. 4th row SEAT from the stage... Shes very active, came down from the stage a few times to go around the LT interacting with the crowd... But 1 down thing, there aint autographed posters thrown out this time for us to catch.. =[

So, whats there to emo...?

Ok, first thing, much thanks to NTU CAC for organizing the concert, but as to organizing, it really isnt very much organized...

Why? Its like, we all know there is a limited number of seats in Lee Kong Chian LT, so shouldnt there be only this, limited number of tickets, be distributed out..? So why is it that there happen to be still a truckload of people who is waiting to come into the LT when its already full, which resulted in those who came really really late to queue being asked to seat right on the floor below the stage... Its like... just below the stage... How cool...and there were people seating all over the stairs on the aisles restricting the places where Geniie could go to to shake hands with the fans..

VERY COOL... So next time those fans who wants to seat right infront of the stage should come queue for admission right on the dot...

Organizing apart... Another more emo factor, would be the game that they played... 3 guys were asked for, to go on stage and sing the duet 梁山伯与朱丽叶 with Geniie... Ok so at this instance im thinking, its not a stupid game which ask u to go on stage n be a clown.. but i still dint hav the courage to raise my hand to volunteer...probably being afraid i will sing badly...

So some 3 guys were volunteered by their friends (Notice its their friends who called out their names...) went up... First guy... was more like, reading the lyrics instead of singing.. he aint using his voice right... 2nd guy... sang like a donald duck... i dunno why... 3rd guy was a joker... but end of the day.. i could conclude, if i had volunteered to go up n sing, i would definitely sing better than all of the 3... crap...

Well its not like the winner gets a kiss, its just a 单曲CD and a photo with Geniie, im just pissed why did i miss a chance for me to be on stage singing a duet with her..? After all i love to sing...And its not just about being able to get close to Geniie, cos end of the day my gay buddy jia qing actually bought 5 of her album (which he in turn gave me 1.. xD) for her to autograph and we still get to see her up close and have a handshake.. Its that.. this is a rare chance for a crowd of over 1k people as your audience... and i reckon it will be pleasing for em to be applauding as an acknowledgement that you did sing quite well...

That, i guess would be the main reason for me to emo about ...

Another Concert Time

Well this time, 卓文萱 will be coming down to NTU for her [超级喜欢] 校园演唱会. Actually asked quite a few friends to go queue for the tickets with me so we got more, but end up they played soccer till too late and din make it in time to queue... so its only me and another friend that got 2 tickets each... zz..

The other time for the 郭静下一个天亮校园演唱会 it was written that it starts at 1830, but end up it started at 1930 ... this 1 its written that it starts 1930... jia lat... lol..

Haiz.. Very emo, no girls to go watch the concert with... can only go with some gay buddy... -.-

And to facilitate him getting to the LT for the concert, i had to go tru all the trouble to draw a stupid map from fireworks... Duh...

Anyway, will post some reviews of the concert after thursday... if i remember.. that is.. haha..

Been wanting to really push myself to pick up the book and MUG this sem cos last sem's results wasn't really as good as my target... but i've been DOTA'ing too much these days.. figuring that i ain't the kind of person that can go mugging and reading for the whole week without any games makes me wonder, if i really could achieve what i want... to be able to pull my gpa up for a decent 1st class ... haiz... =[

Anyway i guess i shall'nt complain already, cos at least i gt 3 of wad i expected. 1 more week to a new semester, cmon time to whack for 4.5 !!

Omg... the 秋莲板面 store in the coffee shop near my house is gone~! =O
Wanted to eat 板面 for dinner today... but went down see ... wa the stall not there liao... duh.. Wonder is it renovate or wad... sigh.. =\

Came across a stamp album yesterday when i was re-arranging my room..
Well the album writes P3-5 .... wow... primary 3... haha... Looking through all the stamps..
For some of em it brings memories... like theres a set of them, which forms a chinese 山水画... Well, comes in 4 parts... but i only happen to have 3... and i remember these are from my grandpa...

And theres some which came from letters from nepal by a monk friend when i was a kid... haha... And i thought, im not really into collecting stamps anymore, so i might as well pass em on to some other friends out there who collects them... Hmm.. ? N so, i thought of wanshi ... (Omg, again!? Well, yea.. =\ ..) But wat she said was quite true tho... its memories that i should keep and not anyhow give ppl... Sighs... its not like i would wan to giv em to any anonymous 'Stranger A' .... And, .. my memories need a new album... in all aspects... =\

Bought myself a new keyboard... Microsoft reclusa ...

Pic of it with and without lighting ... Comes wif a fixed soft blue backlight, and a textured finish on the keys which eliminates the plastic feel like on normal keyboards... Wristrest is leather overlaid cushion which is quite comfy n neat... It comes with 2 x 360degree jogdials which 1 defaults to volumn adjustment and another defaults to scrolling... both are programmable to execute user defined macros... The keyboard also comes with 6 extra keys, 3 on each sides, L1, 2, 3, R1, 2, 3 , which are all programmable for user defined macros but problem being they are just right next to the caps lock and numpad enter keys, and sometimes u will hit it by accident...

There are also 4 'bumper' keys which are flushed with the keyboard which can be pressed from the top or from the sides... which adds up to 14 programmable keys/controls on the keyboard...

Now comes complains... Well, they keyboards will use up 1 of your usb slot and give you 2 more in return... at 1.1 ..... which i cant even power my thumb drive... how nice...

Backlit not even... my F5 cant really be seen when lights are off...

Bad positioning of macro buttons and jogdials .... buttons should be placed furthur apart from the standard keys, and jogdials should be on another row above the F buttons to avoid confusion when hitting the esc btn...

Well, overall i would rate this keyboard 6.5 /10 ... =\

The new 5x5 cube into my arsenal of rubik cubes... lol.. initial solve took me over 20 minutes... subsequent solves still took me over 10mins... very good to play on the train from home to sch n vice versa.. xD Or at least, to occupy me so i dont think so much n wont emo.... haiz...

Woah... lucky me, had my java exams on wednesday, and altho i checked the timetable for the time, i misread the time for a later time... The paper starts at 1pm, and i thought i saw 3... And coming out of my shower, i realise i hav 2 missed calls... was Chris.. wonderin wad was the issue, i called back, den he asked if i was still at home (was 1205 at that moment..), so i was like, er ya why..?, then he told mi the paper starts at 1... O.o" omg? n so i rushed n packed everything n headed to flag down a cab... upon boarding it, i told to uncle im heading for NTU, and if he is able to reach before 1pm... he said he would try... -.- .. N when i reach payar lebar on PIE, THERE WAS A JAM!! OMG~!~! luckily i reached on time, despite the little jam ...

Well, actually strictly speaking, its not Chris that saved me la... cos he called me because he saw 'somebody' on the bus, and called to ask me if i was in school already and wanted to go n hav lunch in canteen 2 cos 'someone' is going... Duh, i could hav failed my most confident module if not for them... how can i repay them.. hmm... -.-

Like, i always like to write here in super abstract form, and probably people who knows me will be able to make out what im trying to say (if not myself..), so, ya haleem, dun assume someone thats very good wif java will jus deco his blog like christmas tree n hav story-book content, k ? xD

yesterday was a shitty day so i told myself i must blog this down.... am in 101 lecture now blogging this shitty day down... first off, i left house on time for my java lab on 1430hr... taking 2 steps into the corridor.. i realise i left my ez-link card in the jeans i wore the day before... so i went back to get the ez-link card... back out, closed the door behind me, and made my way down to level 4... and again i realise... shit i forgot my thumb drive which contains my lab 8 for the java lab... so... i went back, did the transfer for my lab 8 from my labtop to my thumb drive, brought the thumb drive.. and headed out again... taking another 3 steps into the corridor... its like.. the 3rd time... i realise.. i left my wallet on the table when i sat down to transfer my lab 8 previously... OMG! end up i took 20 minutes to head out of my house... and with that done... i had to help my bangala sista to buy her ciggy... and i missed the bus because of that.... resulting n me waiting for another 10minutes for the bus.... end of the day... i reached the lab at 1505hr ... what a shitty day....

Hmm, Got a new rubik's cube, all thx to eric for breaking my old 1... anyway, i jus got a normal rubiks' 25th anniversary cube, and jus lubed it wif vaseline... tho alot of ppl say vaseline will have some reaction on the plastic, but well, its only $9.90 ... if i hav gotten a speedcube thats over $20, mayb i'll go get a bottle spray of silicone then... Well anyway, wif the new 3x3x3, we are gona need new algorithms, better to be exact, and to be able to achieve sub 1min timings~! hopefully... lol..

First of all, fundamentals of a rubiks cube.. on a standard rubik's brand cube, there are 6 colors(Duh.. -.-), white <-> yellow, blue <-> green, red <-> orange, by the <-> symbol i mean they will always be opposite each other no matter what you do, you cannot change the orientation of the cube for a 3 by 3(We will not talk about the rubik's revenge(4x4x4) now to avoid confusion)... And with white on top, yellow on the bottom, orange will always be on the right side of blue if u hold blue facing you...

As with other beginners' method, the Jessica Fridrich F2L method is done by first constructing a cross on a color of your choice.. for my case, white... with the cross, you need to make sure that the edge pieces(cubies with 2 colors) are properly aligned with the respective corresponding colors..With that being done, turn the cross to the bottom side of the cube..

And with the top and middle layer, locate related pairs that you need to pair up...

After pairing the first layer's corner pieces with the corresponding edges, you insert them into place, you do not neccessarily have to make all pairs before inserting, pair the pairs up and insert 1 by 1 .. in this case, the 2 pairs can be inserted into their places, the red pair will not go into the bottom right as with the arrow, it goes directly below itself...

Once 2 pairs are in place, you will get what looks like the 2x2x3 block in step 2 of the Lars Petrus method...

Then on, after putting the other 2 pairs in position, your F2L (First 2 layers) will be completed..

With that, you will be left with the PLL(Position last layer) and OLL(Orientate last layer) algorithms to finish the cube...

Note: This is not a guide on how to solve the rubik's cube, if you need beginner advice, pls do msn me... xD

Went for HW001 - English Proficiency tut today... was asked to write a paragraph so that they could have a rough gauge where we are at the start point. After the paragraph, the tutor started talking about the ways which could get people to start writing, 1 being to brainstorm for ideas, another being drawing a mindmap, next being wad is normally used by journalists is questioning method (5W 1H), and lastly freewriting. Well freewriting, as the name implies, is to just write out what you have in mind, and later on you will then organize your paragraph such that it has a topic sentence, body and ending blah blah... And the tutor also mentioned that alot of bloggers nowadayz do alot of freewriting... well..? For me..? i dont see that case leh, haha... i cant really just write whatever i think, i would usually have to pause and make out a sentence before i write... So... freewriting?.. nah, l337 typ3 + dotssss spam ftw~! At least thats what i do here... haha...

Friday 15 August, 6PM odd, we broke this drought.. our table tennis paddlers managed to outskill the south koreans in the table tennis womans' team in the semi finals beating them 3-2~! Woootz, went for the Yes! 933 Claire 郭静 (下一个天亮) 校园演唱会 jus now (friday night..), well videography/photography wasnt allowed, so too bad, no pix... Anyway, had been queuing to get in from 6pm(which was the time mentioned on the tix).. but as usual everything was late by a tad... started getting in ard 6:45, and the whole thingy started at abt 7...

Yes! 933 DJ 艾薇 n 家发 were there to host the concert, they chatted abit before 郭静 hopped on stage to perform the 1st song of the day; 我不想忘记你. Well, after that, she sang 百分百, which is my fav song from her 下一个天亮 album. At some point of time, the NTU cheerleading club did hopped on stage for a performance, which is guess is after 百分百, cant really recall... So after the cheerleading performance, 郭静 brought us the 3rd song of the day, 知道， while walking around half the theatre shaking hands wif the fans; another half of the theatre while singing 不药而愈, strictly speaking... she dint really sing that song... cos she walked ard the whole theatre shaking hands; which is quite 吃力？So by the time she end up back on stage, left with last sentence... zzz wad a pity, tts a nice song oso... =\

Hmm, i think her live singing is very nice; some artistes cant really sing very well live... strength, tune, pitch, 赞, like listening to CD.. haha.. Anyway, was sitting quite far from the stage, so cant really catch a good glimpse until she came walking around shaking hands with the fans; well she appears to be smaller size n thinner than i imagined, face appears to be a tad different from the pic... ya well anyway she looks good~
Was so pissed that i actually missed a signed poster that was thrown, like, somewhat directly my direction..? failed to grab it; rebounded off my hand... lol..

There were some games played too, but it isnt really worth mentioning... lol.. So as the title suggest, she sang her 主打，下一个天亮 as a finale and the 校园演唱会 ended with an autograph session for fans wif her albums, theres also a booth to sell the 改版DVD下一个天亮 and let 郭静 autograph on the spot.. Haiz ended so fast, din really listen enough, would love to hear more songs like 爱情信息，大玩笑, cos her 现场实力 really v 赞!

Omnia , meaning 'everything' in latin, and 'wish' in arabic.

Jus bought the samsung omnia, actually been a week already... Before any1 starts asking how is the phone, it is built on the new windows mobile 6.1, so u nid to get use to the WM feel before u can say its a nice phone. Its like some ppl just dont wish to abandon the age where phones are made just to do calls and sms, if u are 1 of em in the group, learning how to use the omnia in WM will be tough, so dont buy... else, the WM platform opens the door for your nice gadget to the whole truck load of applications tt were previously designed for PDAs and even run some of the desktop .exe files...
About resolution, yea it pales in comparison with the Iphone and HTC diamond(duh, VGA..), but on a 3.2" screen, divx movie playback is still crisp and nice, i haven compared it with diamond viewing video, but is like i can still see the chinese subtitles in my tw dramas, wad more do i need...?

Battery life with intense video display usage will last you maybe... 5-6 hours..? (playing of videos, RPG games, surfing wifi..). music will last you around 24hrs. So if u intend to get a phone to chiong all your jap/tw dramas, i think u hav to look into mp4/divx players with like much more batt life... lol, if you only need it to watch like say 1hr each day, the batt will still last you through 1.5 days. Music is clear and loud enough, for both the speaker and earphones, although some complain their music is very soft from the speakers, but my appears to be ok... WMP is built in and there is a touch player too, for ppl that dont really like WMP. FM radio reception is v good, and the radio interface is nice.
Applications like skype, themes, games, GPS, calculators, blah blah blah... all available for downloads, provided you know where...

As a Singaporean, we are kiasu, so for everything, we are bound to hav complains... here comes the negative side... haha, some might just b against my preference, so like, take it with a pinch of salt.

Touch interface, the samsung touchwiz interface has done a good job considering that its their first try on touch technology. Problem is that sometimes it takes a swipe movement as a tap, and goes into the selected item, which can b very frustrating, but of cos dis issue varies with the firmware version and can be updated to improve via a firmware flash.
Camera. Well its a 5MP camera, but photo and video quality could be better. For photo enthusiast, the N82 with 5mp carl zeiss lens or the SE k850 would be better, they both would produce better images tho all are 5mp.
Stylus. Why give a stylus (2 in my case...) when theres no slot to put it... its a stylus-less touch phone like iphone, so just scrap the stylus k..?
Bugs bugs. Couple of scenarios on apps not closing properly and taking up ram and other apps cannot on, conflicts on video making video not showing when played, and display orientation glitch on its non-standard ratio 240x400 display, which can be solved by a soft reset, aka reboot in PC terms... but of course, i would expect firmware upgrade to b able to fix some, if not all if em...

Anyway, yep its first day of school today, first week only have lectures, but again my mondays are all only lectures.. and only 2 of em.. so its like very much free time to explore around our new playground with the A3 sized map that was provided to us... like lost tourists.. haha... managed to locate 2 of our libraries, the lee wee nam library and library 2, which the latter is where we bought our notes for the sem. Had lunch @ the food court in block 2.1... short day... hope we dont need the map after 2 weeks... haha..

Qualifying english test... thats the only thing i know i need to do; other than registering for courses online after matriculating online on 28th... Any courses exempted : no idea, Any test need to take to exempt any courses : no idea... everything oso duno... really feel so lost, is it that they really did'nt provide enuf info, or is it that 2 years away from schooling life makes up for this lost feeling... hmm.. All that they sent are regarding this camp, that camp, makes us feel like if we miss all these camps we are gona be very lost once term starts...

Well well, am reformatting my rig again now, still on 94% formatting my C: on NTFS... why? Cos of a stupid trojan which i dunno came from where... mayb CABALRIDER!! roarz!

Talking abt the trojan, its named infostealer.gampass, it does things like keylogging, DoS(Denial of Service), n slows down ur com... =\ So its like at times, i can hav my LAN connection sending outbound packets at 8k packets per refresh... which is like, jamming up my network that i cant even load a webpage...? (Normal file transfer of 80Mb data is only ard 20k packets...) and within minutes, i can have like 800k sent packets while receiving like, 800?

Delete it? install Anti-Virus? hmm, norton? Yea, it cant do shit.. quite weak... Even tho the trojan have .dll files (nhmxcjkl.dll, i can even remember the name... duh) hooked onto executables (explorer.exe, iexplorer.exe ...) and have several registry entries which allows the dll to be run everytime an app is started, i would expect the AV to b able to clear it... but it disappointed me... And ya, i tried clearing registry changes and delete registry entries, safe boot and delete, and any sort of manual removal, jus cant get the dam nhmxcjkl.dll out.

Am posting dis from laptop, Haiz, mayb its about time also, 7 months never reformat liao...

OMGzwtfbbq... i just witnessed a careless murder , time : 1230 place : lift @ my work place

So, wad was it... Well, i actually witnessed a lady, who came into the lift at the 4th level, dropping her handphone... maybe u will ask, "So?" Ok dropping the handphone is nothing, but so happen that... the phone manage to find its way, and slipped into, and disappeared through the gap between the lift and the platform!!! OMG

And the lady was like, oops... oOOMG! Cos the phone actually landed on the floor before bouncing and slipping into the abyss... Well, first time see this kinda thing happening, of cos we were shocked and amused as to how unlucky that is... lol =x So upon reaching the ground level, the lady approached the security guard to see if theres anything he could do about it, and the security guard exclaimed "wa, how come drop in?" Mind u, the gap is big enough even for my wallet to go in... so ya, went for lunch after that...

Well, i jus realised... my mouse isnt really gliding very smoothly on my mouse pad as compared to if i jus use it on the tabletop... hmm, so after much rocket science experiments done on my mousepad(eye observations... duh..), i think its time i get a new 1... lol
So, from the 1st pic u can see the side of the old mousepad, texture is still there, cos mouse seldom do vigorous movements on the side of the pads, so it doesnt reflect much light off my ceiling fluorecent lamp..
And on the 2nd 1, shows some serious reflection from the lamp on the middle pt of the pad... well, if you hav closed your eyes and sweep ur hand across the pad, i think u could feel the difference... the surface is not there anymore... its flat... =\ tink its abt time i get a new pad... hehe...

Hmm, suddenly wanted to post some Rubiks' related stuff here, am very into rubik's cube(3x3x3 cube wif 6 colors, 6 center pieces, 8 corner pieces, and 12 side pieces..) and rubik's revenge(4x4x4 cube with 6 colors, 24 center pieces, 8 corner pieces, 24 side pieces..) lately... mayb i will post some guide to solving or something equivalent on mi nxt post..? Hmmm, haven been to SLS for awhile i guess... went there ytd cos the idiot Donald wanted to go around and see the prices of the Macbook Pro before ordering online.. End up my total damage more than his... -.-

End up he decided online offer is better, so he oni got a USB hub, $7.90

I see everything oso gian, end up bought a 8gb sony thumb drive (Micro vault), everglide teflon mousefeet for my G5, and 50pcs of DVD-R .... total damage $107 ... shyt, i should hav jus stayed at home... haha.. Look at the pricelist oso gian... 9600GT only $179~! and WD HDD, OCZ DDR2... all so cheap.. -.- could have built a decent rig wif jus $1400 now... to think tt i spent 1.7K on my current rig... duh.. =\

Aiyo, was supposed to go back to 3DA to collect my COS (Certificate of Service) on thursday wif Wei Ping, but cant wake up... zz... by the time i woke up is 1pm already... haha... So no choice, just asked some camp mates, the CO will only be back in camp on tuesday... so only can collect on tuesday... =\

I am craving KUAY CHAP~!~! aARRGG! I miss the kuay chap store that was in the coffee shop 2 blocks away from my hse. Heard tt it moved to street 11, which was whr i stay last time.. 8 yrs ago..? Mus go there someday to eat... hmmz...

Hmmz, saw a dead bird on my way home today... was on the road.. duno wad happen to it, when i saw it it was already on the ground... well, at least there are still kind ppl, some1 moved it to the roadside when i went down for dinner ...

Anyway, today's interview didnt go really well.. or should i say... it din really happen..? it was in a 'home office' which looked funny to me... Well, back to the point, i was late, and the guy was saying theres another guy for interview at 1030, so i had to wait till 1100, or i could go ahead wif wat i was doing. Duh, i already planned to meet another friend from prudential @ 1200... so i dont think i would hav enuf time... Well, even tho i request to meet my friend in PP eventually, but i din wait till 1100... mayb 'home office' jus doesnt sound right to mi ...

After so much of hassle, i finally manage to find a program that records both from the mic and from wadeva tt comes out from the speakers... so i did a recording for a test... xD added as a plugin for dis page, for your comments(productive ones only xD)

Lol, haven been blogging for months liao... So much has happened.. POP from tekong, posted to OCS Golf wing, moved to Air wing as a Air Defence Artillery officer cadet, finished service term in Air wing, got my senior cadet bar, now im in Air Force School doing the basic phase of pro term... Tests after tests, they never end... zzz wonder if they are training officers or scholars... lol

Anyway, good thing that OCS make cadets write journals, and so did AFS, so maybe someday i could ctrl + c, ctrl + v all my entries here... :P Am now here studying for tomorrow's test... and missing my dear cos she and her family went on a holiday trip to Australia, perth... =\

Jus went for a gathering supper session with my poly brothers, what a long time since we gathered, eat, talk about old time stuffs and NS happenings...

Pwned field camp...

Wooo~! finally field camp is over! cant believe we actually wana go back to our bunks so much... So much for the field camp... heres all..

Day 1
The morning started with an 8km march to our camp site... 1 round around costal road, and off into the jungles... pass all the checkpoints, taking our 2km and 4km rests... finally every1 reached there with our 'cant be more shagged' faces... upon reaching, we were supposed to build up our bashas (tent) and dig our drainage up before we have our lunch... jus when we finish all that, the rain came... so we were asked to go into our basha and have our lunch... crap.. the basha sux.. its so low that we cant even sit up straight inside the basha... our lunch was our first encounter with combat rations... no comments on it... the 1 i got for the day was quite nice... after the lunch, we had some lectures on some high grounds behind our bashas... the night came and overwhelmed us soon.. never had i been in such darkness, and still we have to get our stuffs for powder bath ready... when we cant even see our hands in the dark... well, powder bath, is what we do every night, powder all over the body and bath ourselves as we dont get to bath with water everyday... the day ended with us sleeping in our basha on the uneven ground...

Day 2
Had our breakfast in the dark as usual... lectures when light is out... and some practice for stuff like drawing range card etc... forgot what happened for the rest of the day...

Day 3
Had our test on judging distance, listening post and observing post, drawing range card, fire command order.... lasted through the afternoon till we have our lunch... experienced the bad combat ration types.. the rice types... basically 1 word to describe... sux... afternoon came all the lectures as usual... and fire movement practice...

Day 4
Fire and movement drills and practice for half the day... those not very good with it got more practice... like some blur ppl keep making the commander angry and redo the whole thing... lol.. had our first and only bath for the whole field camp ... at a nearby well ... after the bath, we get to play a game of fishing... to fish up all the stuff like buckets and soap boxes that dropped down the well...

Day 5
Tactical movement and fire movement test to our new camp site... on the reclaimed land... which they say is the land of the mosquitos... walked about 5km to the new site and we basically jus layed the ground sheet on the floor and sleep on the floor today....

Day 6
Digging of shellscrape and fire trench... the shellscrape is a coffin shaped hole for us to prone in and is supposed to be completed in less then 2 hours.... took us more then 7 hours to complete and all shagged.... fire trench is the 1 that we are supposed to dig till the average hight's chest level... due to some1 blackout and 1 more having fits halfway while digging... the fire trench was canceled.... phew... slept in our own shellscrape for the day...

Day 7
And what u call, last day... marched to the old sispec for our BIC, through a sandy route, as platoon 4... we have no choice but to march and breathe in all the dust and sands that comes up as platoon 1, 2, and 3 kicked up as they pass the route... had our BIC, which we were supposed to leopard crawl and back crawl through all the obstacles for a distance of around 70+ m .... tougher then what we thought... and finally after the BIC, home ~! back to our company line, washed up with the firehose and cleaned our rifle...

End of the torture... xD

Field camp next week... weekend burned.... 5 weeks since i was enlisted... what to do but persevere, 1 day of civilian life for a week.... getting sick and having sore throat all the while... endure all the shits... and stress... for a tale to tell to your generations...? Of course im in no place to complain... cos thats what it takes to be a man....?

Wooo~ finally after 2 weeks of confinement on the dam*** island, we get to book out... Man, life in tekong is boring.... everyday training, march, eat, slp .... wats more, gona get tougher after this 2 weeks period cos we are no longer new liao... Some friends in xiong company get tekan until sick, high fever... some in slack company say very sian... guess im quite lucky that im in a xiong but not most xiong 1...

Been trapped in the island for 2 weeks~ miss my dear so much, thursday 1930 book out reach home around 2050, took a 1hour bus ride to yck jus to see my beloved dear~ altho im already having trouble keeping my eyelids up~ jus lying there sleeping is good enough.. :P still need to go get stuff from beach road, lazy to go... and not to mention snacks for our hungry night... in addition to my dear's cookies~ :P

Everyday march and sing song inside, never sing get punish... and singing there is not really singing, its shouting... shout too loud den sore throat, then will become fever.... crap...

Sian, tml 2015 nid to book in liao.... haven pack my bag... guess i'll jus whine till here.. zzz

Howdy howdy~ 3 weeks nv post hows every1s' life..? well for me, mine's bad... -.- been having fever and flu for the past week and dun really have the strength to go out of anything... rig keeping up with me, getting ill and giving me blue screen of deaths (BSOD) every now and then ever since i flashed my bios to a newer version, even tho i flashed back to the older 1 now i still get bsods... -.-

been outside for dinner wif my dear almost everyday for a few weeks liao, wonder when was it i last had dinner @ the coffee shop below my house.. lol

friend brought his rig over for me to do some tweakings on it last week too, an intel prescott 640, asus p5gdc and adata ddr2-533.... dint push much juice out of it as his power supply isnt very stable and was sick to touch the rig... -.-

Am still having a bad nose while im typing this, jus finished my dear's green bean soup and had my medicine :D .... 17 days... to enlistment.... haiz... -.-

Ok, bout my graphics card i changed like 2 weeks ago... it was better, 475/1200 on default compared to the old 1 which ran at 425/1000 at default... card did 500/1260 with no problem on stock cooling, pushed it to 530/1310 with air con blasting, but some problems came up and had to flash my bios... zzz...

Got my scythe ninja also, sis sponsored me as a birthday present ~! arigato gozaimasu ~! lol... cpu temp was ard 5C lower then before, but my chip dint like voltage... so it dint really help much in OCing my chip... (better heatsinks should giv better results for OCing as it can cool more effectively leaving more headroom for voltage increase... but my chip jus cant prime even with higher voltages... zzz )

Well, yesterday was my day~ and i had a great day ^^

Monday midnight went to some ktv with my parents and their friends where i gathered quite alot of ang baos, sister bought a cake, and the group of people opened 5 bottles of martell -.- altho i cant really click into their songs and dance, the session was still enjoyable ^^
Went for porridge supper later on and reached home ard 4+ ... -.-

Tuesday, the actual day, was even more enjoyable :P went to tanjong pagar to meet my dear, then took a train to harbour front wif the plan of going sentosa ^^ dun really know where to go about taking the cable car in, so asked around and we actually found our way there quite fast ... :P hmm, first time sittin on a cable car IIRC, quite high up when it first moved out into the open, and the view is so nice ^^ (would've been nicer if it was morning or afternoon wor~ :P) . anyway, its a short trip and we're at sentosa b4 we know it.... upon reaching im so like a tourist, need a map, dunno the places etc... lol... anyway, we got a island guide brochure and made our way to the merlion, then the musical fountain where we sat down for a show ^^ ... dear bought some bite sized cakes and we had some of them before the show started ^^. ooo, the show was so nice~ took some peektures but it was at night and nokia doesnt provide flashes so it isnt very clear... lol... and the fountain doesnt only shoots water, it shoots fire too -.- . had a walk around and found our way to a bus that goes to siloso point, so we hopped on and arrived at siloso beach after jus 1 stop... opened up the map we got and laid it on the sand as we sat on the beach to appreciate the night sky ^^ . after we are done, we headed back to the bus stop and took a bus which was supposed to be goin back to the cable car station, but we alighted too early... :P so we had to walk all the way back, climb up like 4 sets of escalators cos they were off already... -.- before we reach the station... got a drink at the cable car station, hmm, a can of limeade for $2... they sure are making alot of profit... lol... took the cable car back and we had more time appreciating the view this time as we were not messing around with the 'bluetooth' now... :P but still its dark and we cant really see far ^^ ... had an ice cream where i was forced to finish up =x and took a train back to YCK... had ba chor mee for supper at 1 of the coffee shops before i send my dear home and heading home after that.... hmm, i guess the birthday card i received is what i would say the nicest i got to date ~! ^^

Weee, went out for a round the city tour today, first stop was bugis / sim lim square (again... :P) To get an overview of the new bang-for-bucks card that made 6800gs owners sad men ... the 7600GT that came out jus recently packed enough kicks to make the most bang-for-bucks a month back go down the drain... Okay, the 7600GT which runs on G73 had similar pipelines and vertex shaders as the 6800GS, but wif a core clock of 560mhz and mem clock of 1.4ghz .... which is way past what the 6800GS could do (425, 1000 at stock...) ...? Benchmark scores showed at least a 15% increase in most of the aspects and adding to that the 7600GT is retailing @ ard $340... Man i got my gs @ 370 and 2 weeks later the G73 trashed the crap out of this card @ 340... -.- Haiz... count my luck... anyway, jus emailed convergent regardin the card exchange for the 1.4ns part, they said the cards jus arrived so i hope i gona get em soon ~ ^^ Next up went over to orchard cineleisure for late lunch @ yoshinoya and caught a movie~ ^^, the shaggy dog... quite a nice show, funny and emotional... walked around orchard up and down after the movie and i tink we passed by somerset like 5 times today....? :P Ooo, so tired, guess ill go sleep liao~ ^^

Yeah~ 100th entry on this blog le... jus nice a good number for a good entry~ My dear is back from India ~ ^^ She sure looks like she loss weight ~! >_< Hmm, loss for words @ airport on saturday... Jus seeing her come out safe and sound is enuf :P
Went for a walk on Sunday in city, waited at citylink for my dear as shes teaching her brother maths... :P Hmm, cant recognize her when she reach wor, pretty~ ^^; And to my surprise, i have a bag of goodies from India ... -.- although i jus came back also, thank you dear~ i like them :)

Hmm, so its been around 2 odd months, and my dear's hand sure seems thinner~ well but still, it sure fits mine like none others would... :P Anyway, this trip is supposed to make me an errand boy to Suntect IT Show to get an iPod which my sis wanted as a gift for her friend (who signed quite a big contract for her... =x) . I never knew strolling along pointlessly is as much enjoyable ^^ . The show hall is still as crowded as ever and noisy as well, with all the booths shouting out their incredibly priced deals as it was the last day of the show... And as usual u can see different vendors using the same tactics to draw customers... (Er.. female flyer distributors/sales assistants..? to be exact, 'generally good looking ones') well, but of course to me they dun really shine as compared to my dear~ :P Walked over to the booth where my friend was working @, jus to say hi... hehe... and dear bought a memory card for her brother's k750i as requested ^^;

After completing the errand, we strolled over to the fountain for a short rest while i look through pictures that was taken in the handphone by my dear back in Chennai~ wind was strong, and the water kept spraying over, so we din stay long. Headed down for dinner @ Mac, and i had to eat so much.... -.- dun ask why... :P

Well for the journey back home, the train got me to marina bay, amk, then back to tampines, which is somewhere near a 1 ½hour ride :P But next time its gona take longer wor~ so i tink next time we have to head home earlier.... :P

So, jus as exciting, went to school to 'setup' Project Portal for the TP IT Project Show... still some edits to do here and there before it really deserves an exhibition... So i guess i wont have much time till after Thursday, after the real show ends.... -.-

Man, im growing to love hardware more and more.... especially after successfully modding my motherboard again... hehe.... ^^ A pencil mod this time.... :P Whats a pencil mod...? hmm...? as u all noe, lead aka graphite is conductive, so drawing pencil leads across resistors can allow simple modding that usually requires soldering work ^^... Haiz, jus got to know from a thread on HardwareZone, that the XV 6800GS doesnt give what it is priced for ... Well its supposed to have memory speed of 1.4ns with the price of $370, but the cards out in the market now are manufactured with 2.0ns memory speed delay due to some card bios and driver issues... which brings its value to ard $340 ... Well so like the rest i got my card at the higher price with 2.0ns... zzz

Anyway, Convergent(distributor) has offered to exchange the 2.0ns cards with 1.4ns cards when they come out... so ppl who got the 2.0 card at $370+ could get an exchange, but they are supposed to email the distributor before 4th march..... cool... -.- its 5th already.... lol...

Haiz, jus emailed them, duno if they could jus close 1 eye or at least if not exchange then refund me so i could get the xfx 6800gs 256mb instead .... :P Hmm and, its not i niao wor... this card i have at hand clocks till 489mhz core and 1130mhz memory clock and thats it... well according to reviews and if it WAS a 1.4ns card, the memory clock should reach(if not beyond) 1300mhz ... while the xfx card stood at 510 / 1200 at least with $375 ... blame my luck... -.-

ENC Chalet, and more...

Went for the ENC chalet that was planned on Wednesday, reached there in the afternoon, had my lunch there and had a rest while the rest of the people went to buy the stuff.. when there is finally quite a handful of people already, they started a mahjong session right away... well I duno how to play so I din join.. lol.. Well, the last bbq had too much food... this time we don’t have much variety, neither do we have quantity... zzz.. hmm, doesn’t seem to draw more people than the bbq last time, but we do have special guest like Daniel Lee ! lol, if you are clueless of who is he, maybe u could drop me a pm in msn and I’ll brief u on that... hehe..

Ok, same old usual people doing the bbq, while the others do their part taking stuff from the ‘cooked’ tray... would be better if we had a bigger pit I guess, so every1 bbqs’ their own stuff ^^

Brought my Vodka Raspberry there, no business.. every1 said it tasted like medicine.. -.-
There was another bot of absolut which Genie brought, and not to mention the 5litres barrel of beer by Steve ^^

Well tho we dint have a lot of ppl compared to the bbq last time, nonetheless those ‘on’ kakis of ENC sure had fun. Threatening to throw Daniel into the pool, force him to drink a cup (okay get it real, not even half a plastic cup full... -.-) of beer, talk crap, play cards, mahjong (not me..) and all...

Anyway, I guess I caused quite a din wif a stupid idea that came out of rage, I had my revenge on Vincent at the expense of 5 ppl’s 3 hour Risk game... sry ppl... Kay, other then that, its on to Steve telling scary stories on the mahjong table in the middle of the night.. And later playing a memory game with cards, tho I dint join cos I wanted to rest, but I could still hear them all the time.. ‘pasir ris!, boon keng!, brown! Violet!’ lol, don’t ask, it’s the game ^^

Hmm, so among the 12 that stayed over, 5 went home @ around 7 while the rest (including me..) stayed till 1030 where we checked out and head home respectively..
Anyway, pics of the chalet aint with me, hehe... will try to stick it up when i get em~ ^^

About my Rig.. hehe.. ran prime before I went out for chalet the day before, but it dint even prime for an hour.. haha.. anyway prime is a stress test program to let u see if ur com is stable, after all the overclocking u did.. lol.. And still, I aint able to break the 6k barrier for 3dmark05, highest I got on screenshot was 5923, had 5930 that time, but dint take screenie.. -.- Anyway, the com at stock speed ( processor 1.8ghz, 6800gs @ 425/1000 ) scored 5092 ..
Gona try priming @ 279 htt with 1.54vcore tonight...

Anyway, Had a friend in the house today, he came to burn some DVDs from the data in his HDD so he could clear some space on his HDD... guess who..? lol who else other then Jia Qing that psb! Cool day ~ moved my rig on top of my table now, previously it was sitting below the table on a platform next to the leg, now its right beside my crt monitor where I can admire its UV and LED glory... :D

Stress tested the rig under a reasonable clock, had some screenies ....
bought an extra 120mm intake fan wanted to replace the stock 80mm, but it cant fit in lol so i mounted it on the 5.25" bays, jus nice 3 empty bays makes up a fan space.... hehe.... 2 intake fans now... bought some CCFLs too, to make the rig shine :D
Went to school today afternoon for a 'SIP debrief'... zzz Went opposite school for lunch after that, and sat down and talk till evening when i decided to head to sls for some stuff and asked some of my friends to go with me....
Anyway, to ppl who might have a little clue of OC, ill jus update my current status i guess, 2.5ghz @ 278htt x9 prime stable 9 hrs, rams running 2.5, 3, 3, 7 @ 180mhz divider @ 250mhz aka ddr500 .... cpu on load 51C idle 38C , vcore 1.55v , vdimm 2.73v, LDT multiplier x3 .... and last but not least, the xpertvision 6800gs @ 493/1130.... thats all folks~ ^^

Hehe, been awhile since i last write... so today im gona do some technical writings again.... :P Went to Sim Lim Square on this weekend with a loan from my mum to build my long awaited rig :D While seeing people doing dry-ice overclocking wif x1900xtx crossfire and presler.... zzz... Anyway, i dropped my nVidia SLi idea as i guess it generates too much heat -.- nonetheless my rig still kicks ass (at least to me... hehe...)

phew, thats about there... spent a whole night yesterday building everything up and doing cable management so theres better airflow to cool the rig... So excited that i went down to Eric's house to get a copy of Windows XP disc right away from him even tho its already 11pm.... =x After settling everything, tried to hook up my old hdd, some problems here and there which results in another installation of XP.... took me about the whole night... zzzz Everything's running cool now~ and my new buddy rox~ heres some screenies to share :P

Would be doing some tweaking and O/Cing my buddy this few days~ And would be posting screenies as soon as i get my buddy to his max potential~~ hehehe :P

Got a letter from MOH yesterday thats talking about organ donation for transplantation.... Tot what is it... zzz... States that everyone who doesnt opt out will automatically be covered under the act... okay... and another form for you to fill in if u wish to donate anything else thats not covered under the HOTA .... Tot of filling that up....

Anyway, came to school at around 1240 hrs today.... cos i was told that we have something on and need to be there by 1245.... So, called my friend when i reach, and was told that the bus that was supposed to be taking us to some other place has left.... cool..? So i was told to take a cab down cos i NEED to be there.... guess what... i had to get lunch with my ez-link balance today as i dont even have any cash...? IDA grants is taking forever....?? Whats more... i was told that if i dont make myself present i would be failing my SIP.... Er..? Ok..? So ... what can i say..? I did my job without getting paid YET, i handed in my comprehensive report...? And if im gona fail, i have nothing to say...

Bought my first 'motherboard' as itself and w/o any other stuff today... lol... its a 423pin intel d850gb, for me to practice DIY, and of course... try rectify the problem with my old rig...
Hooked everything together, psu, processor, hsf, rams, hdd, vga, cdrw, floppy, pwr-led, power switch, etc.... Jus when i tot everything will work fine.... turned on the switch, the psu lights up then goes off again... zzz.... anyway i hooked everything up while laying the mobo on the static bag it came with... cos it cant fit into my old HP pav 8898 chassis.... lol... was so messy... should've took a pic of the whole thing... anyway... removed everything to troubleshoot the rig... tried with only the psu connected to the mobo... nth wrong.... sitted the chip in.... and the problem comes.... sianz... guess my chip is dead... -.- along with my old mobo... need to get a new chip ~ zzz and hopefully that will make my old buddy boot up finally.....Wow hey... that would be like a heart transplant..? and what organs is left original..? lets see... graphics card changed, rams changed, processor changed, mobo changed, psu changed, most of the exterior peripherals changed too... omg.... left with the hdd and fdd only now.... lol

Went for another day of JAE and well, slacked for almost the whole day today.... lethargic as always... not to mention that i only had 3 hrs slp.... Anyway, havent felt so willing to wake up ever since i came back to SG until yesterday morning.... for some unknown reasons.... ^^

Had a total of 3 cups of milo yesterday... quite alot... lol... and my first serving of half-boiled eggs since i came back to SG.... hehe....

Waaa~ been so busy these days, weekdays go school for project show stuff, friday went to help out in JAE for TP Info Tech sch... not to mention the truckload of request for me to debug their stuff like i owe them !? well nevermind... its over... ^^

Saturday was boring... without a com, so was tinking of going out... then i recalled that PC (Project Cyndi) is having a photo ordering/t-shirt collecting/talk crap gathering session... so i went down to PS to look for them~ been a long time since i had a talking session with those jokers.... Actually they planned for a steamboat session after that, and was saying that i'm very good at picking dates cos they dint know i was going down, and joked that must be i sense there was a steamboat session that explains my appearance... lol... would be the 3rd steamboat session with these guys if i had went ba.... but i had plans on going to SLS, so i had to skip that~! >_<
Had Mac for lunch while im there, and i just realised yesterday, that there aint Mc Spicy DOUBLE anymore.... so sad -.- ...theres only 1 piece of chicx now~ ahh~~

After the gathering, went over to Sim Lim Square to collect brochures and flyers so i could get a good guage of my new rig... as usual, all along the escalators... collected all, went to some other shops to take, DAT, Fuwell, Bell, etc.... Had a walk around... got a better look at my new rig chassis, CM C5 .... coolz... chop x 2 getting that liao... ^^

Er, thanks for the concern everyone... but i know what im doing very well...
Well, yes there might be a chance that i would regret on what i did, what decision i made, hey but aint these bit and pieces of past regrets, wrong decisions, and bad experience just one of the many catalyst that mould me into what i am today...?

Anyway, i might lack the ability to appreciate lo-han fishes... but that doesnt mean it aint appreciated by everyone... And an ugly fish doesnt necessarily means that it wont taste good.... well even if it does taste bad or is even poisonous, i would prefer learning it the hard way... Im an Ox, and just as stubborn...

Life is short... how much would you have experience, how much inventions would have came about, if everyone merely heed advices and not make decisions by themselves...? Bottom line... like everyone has their own way of thinking... And being ox stubborn, i would say nobody could change my way of thinking... at least not for the sentimental side...

Most probably there would only be 2 souls out there that would make out what this entry is all about.... and well to all others... its just some philosophic entry that makes sense at least to me....
